more than 200 publications. His early books, On the Psychology of Meditation (1971) and The One Quest (1972), address the spiritual quest and personal transformation. Over the course of his career, he published numerous works, including several on Gestalt therapy (such as Gestalt therapy: The attitude and practice of an atheoretical experientialism<\/a>).<\/p>\n A central part of his work is devoted to the Enneagram of Personality, notably with Character and Neurosis<\/a> and other works in which he explores the links between personality, psychological patterns and the social dimension. Later, he explored this field further by presenting his version of the 27 Subtypes of the Enneagram. In the final years of his life, he coordinated a major nine-volume work in Spanish, one volume per Enneatype in which different teams carried out in-depth research on the Subtypes.<\/p>\n He also studied meditation and consciousness, as evidenced by several works in which he interprets major texts from both Western and Eastern literature as narratives of inner transformation. He synthesised his research on the therapeutic use of psychedelic substances such as ayahuasca in psychotherapy in several books.<\/p>\n Another central theme of his work is a critique of patriarchy and the crisis of civilisation. In Healing Civilisation<\/a> and other writings, he analyses how the devaluation of feminine values and childlike intuition is deeply embedded in our culture.
